Undeserved Misfortune

In the film My sisters keeper, a young girl is diagnosed with cancer. When she gets older starts to receive some organs from her younger sister in order for her to survive. When her younger sister is getting older she starts to complain about all the surgeries she has had to have. This is an example of undeserved misfortune because the older sister never deserved to have caner, yet she did. Her family and herself never did anything to deserve the pain that came with their daughter having cancer, and her losing the battle wit cancer in the end.

The Ending of Alice in Wonderland

The movie Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton has always been one of my favorite movies. I especially like the ending of the movie because the main character, Alice, end up making her own choices. She rebels and does not end up marrying the guy that her parents wanted her to marry. She decides to leave him and follow her own path. She decides to pursue her own goals. She goes into the trading business with her uncle , which shows how independent and strong a women can be. I like this ending because she doesn't care what her society thinks is right, she does what she thinks is right.

My Film Job

The Film job that i think would be good for me is the Casting Director.  think i would be good for this job because i feel like i would know what a good actor for a art is. Another reason why i think that i would be a good Casting Director is because I'm really good at memorizing lines. A casting director is in charge of what lines the actor has to say, so if they need help i would be able to help them. i think i would also be a good casting director because I'm not really a good at acting in front of people, so i can help the actors with their acting , and what they can do to help make their characters come to life. I feel like i would do better with working with the actors because i am not good at working with technology as much. I find the casting director as an important role.

Conflict

a conflict in the movie "2012" is man vs. nature. in 2012 the conflict is not really just one man, but the entire human race against nature. There are many natural disasters occurring that are causing fatal consequences. A conflict from real life is man vs. man. i know a friend that had a conflict with her dad, and would always have arguments with her dad. They would have the slightest disagreement and it would turn into a full blown argument. An idea for a film might be a problem with a student and their parents, or just a person having a really bad conflict with society, or someone else.

My Review of the Elephant Man

The movie the Elephant Man was a very outstanding movie. I was impacted at the first sight of John Merrick. I had never seen a person who looked quite like him. The movie overall made me think about the kind of person that i am. Whether i was a good person or a bad person. It pained me to see the way John Merrick was treated throughout the movie. He was always being harassed by people and he was nothing but a good person, even to those who treated him so cruel. I right away felt sympathy towards John Merrick because i can tell it was not easy going on with life looking the way that he did. In very few instances he was treated like an actual human being and that really warmed my heart. Towards the end of the film i realized that many were impacted by John Merrick, like Dr. Treves and Ms. Kendall and so on. I feel as if John Merrick showed me something too because at the end of the film, it really made me question the way i view myself, and how i treat others different from me.

"My Name is John Merrick"

today i was taken from Bytes by this doctor who was trying to help me. After bytes hit me various times this doctor Treves came once more and escorted me to the London hospital. He took me up to the solitary room that was isolated from the rest of the hospital. I understand why he took me up there. I'm not exactly a good sight for many people. i was in the room for a coupe of minutes when i hear footsteps coming. I'm not sure if it is Treves or someone else, so i did not know what to expect. i just sat on the bed and waited. As the door opened and saw a young women standing i knew she would not be pleased with my sight. She let out a scream and i did nothing and could do nothing but just wait for someone to come calm her down. i could not tell her myself or she would freak out even more. They fed me at this hospital and although i knew some of the staff was not yet comfortable with my appearance, i felt more comfortable than i ever did when i was in the freak show with Bytes.

Welcome to my Nightmare

One nightmare that i had once was when i was younger. When i was a little girl i had a dream that i was being chased by someone, i didn't know who exactly but i was running away. i was so afraid of that person in my dream that i didn't even want to look back. in the middle of running away i couldn't move my legs for some reason. i felt like i was running very slowly and could not get away fast enough. i felt the person getting nearer and nearer and just as they were about to stab me i woke up. I never really have had a dream were i felt more vivid in it than this one. i felt a slight pain in the side of my stomach where i was stabbed in my dream. I couldn't scream for help in my dream either as much as i tried to make a sound or motion for help i couldn't let any scream or sound out.

Compassionate Science

I believe that in order to change the world and make it  better place, you need to have heart and ddedication. Nothing in this world is ever easy to accomplish, but it you work hard for it you will likely get there. To advance in this world you will have to use technology. The courses that i am now taking in school do not involve much technology except for one or two classes. These classes have allowed me to learn different things about technology and how it will be greatly needed in the future. Just how mike is helping out make arms for kids in Africa that were injured in the war, we need to feel compassion for it. When you want to help someone you should never do because of a benefit you get out of it, you should do it because you feel compassion and actually want and care to help for the better. if i were to try to make a difference in the world, i would need to use technology because this is where its all going to be headed anyway.

The Future

In the future, about 100 years from now there will be hardly anymore natural resources. Almost everything will be artificially made. We will no longer have any books and everything will be using technology. Almost all of our jobs will be taken by robots or computers. There will hardly be any manual work. Our government will have more control over us and it will cause more order in society. 100 years from now we will be close to completely running out of space in the planet. therefore, we will have to move to another planet and hope to survive. There will be spaceships that will allow us to go from planet to planet and it wont take any longer than a couple of hours to get from planet to planet. Since the government is going to have more control in the future, we are going to be watched. Everything we do will be under surveillance and will be recorded.

One Time I Laughed Really Really Hard

one time that i laughed really really hard was when my friend showed me a video of cheerleaders playing a basketball game. they could not play at all, or run with the ball so they were all over the place. one of the cheerleaders was trying to run with the ball but couldn't so she rolled it on the ground like a bowling ball. Another one got tackled down and one of her friends was trying to help her up. instead of helping her up, she was dragging her across the court, then just left her laying on the floor. Another girl tried running and passing the ball to someone else, but instead got hit in the face with the basketball. When they all tried to score a basket, they would miss the basket and get frustrated. they would also trip and fall constantly on the basketball court. One of the girls made a basket for the other team.

My Review of Modern Times

The film modern times by Charlie Chaplin was a great film. I liked that he did not make the character the little tram speak in his film. He only used facial expressions and allowed him to sing. He would sing in a different language and it was still great to hear and watch. In his film he showed alot of common problems that everyone would go through in the real world. He portrayed these problems in a humorous way, which is something that he wanted because of the rough time that people were actually going through in that time period. Although Chaplin's film modern times was meant to be a film with talking, he changed his mind before shooting because he felt that if the little tram spoke he would mo longer be that same character that everyone loved and adored. Modern Times was a great film full of hints of Chaplin's actual life and the real world. It also showed humor so that people knew that sometimes you just have to smile and you'll get through it.

My Thoughts on Bullying

My Thoughts On Bullying

Bullying has been a topic that is talked about quite a lot in society. It is also practiced more than it should be , which it should not be practiced at all. Bullying can come in many different forms, whether it be physical bullying, cyberbullying, or bullying that comes from friends. Physical bullying can cause pain both physically and emotionally. Many students who are victims of physical bullying often are too terrified to come forward about it because of the consequences thy can get into with the bully. Although cyber bulllying is not as painful physically, the damage is still there. In some extreme cases of bullying some people might turn to suicide as an only way out. Bullying can also come from friends , whether its teasing or making fun of you. That person might be sensitive and take everything that is being told to them to heart . Bullying can easily be prevented , but the only way you can make that change is by you starting to change it with yourself.

My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie is The Breakfast Club by John Hughes. It is my favorite movie because of the message that I portrayed from that film. The movie felt relatable to my actual life because it was about high school students and how society has come to label them. I relate to it because in my high school there are many cliques that are labeled and treated differently because of it. The Breakfast Club is an example of that and in the end shows how in one way or another we are very much like one another. We are not all as different as we think we are. In John Hughes's Film, the status quo is somehow broken amongst the 5 different students in detention that day. It gave me a sense of how the labels society gives can often isolate many people from different friendships and experiences that they can create.
